Artist Statement
I continued to focus on extreme close ups of different animals, this time with more value included. We discussed continuing to create more, while including elements of ink for next class. Along with developing these images further, we discussed including vast landscape imagery in color to contrast the close-ups of these animals in pen and ink. We also talked about including elements of the torso, like the shoulder blade as one of the close-up elements. I compiled a lot of my references and cropped them to get the compositions I wanted, and I created life-like representations of them that I will be inking.
